This is a key role within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to the school’s success and future growth.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations across Finance, HR, Facilities Management, Health and Safety, Marketing, and IT.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Headteacher and Board of Governors to execute the school’s strategic vision and objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Drive key initiatives, including school expansion, facilities upgrades, and technology integration.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the school’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability and value for money in procurement processes.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, fostering a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience as a School Business Manager or Bursar, demonstrating a proven track record in:
  • Leading and improving business operations within a school or similar environment.
  • Working effectively as part of a senior management team while confidently making independent decisions.
  • Line managing diverse teams, mentoring staff, and fostering professional growth.
  • Communicating complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a range of stakeholders.
