At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a Computing & IT Lecturer based in Harrow-on-the-Hill.  

The Computing and IT team at the college provides their learners with the knowledge and skills required by the computing industry.  They provide an excellent foundation for their learners to progress to the next level including careers in the IT, apprenticeships and Higher Education.

We are seeking a full time Lecturer to deliver across a range of Computing courses, from Level 2 to Level 5, including delivery of T Level qualifications.

You will possess a degree in a Computing subject, together with some teaching experience.  

You will need to have knowledge and experience of at least two of the following areas:
•    Computer Games Development
•    Power BI 
•    Cloud Storage and Tools
•    Big Data and Business Analytics
•    Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
•    Networking and Cyber Security
•    Programming (C++, Java, Python)

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19.  If you do not currently possess an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, you will be supported to obtain one, supported financially in full by the College.  
Person Specification:

Qualifications
•    Degree in Computing or related subject area
•    Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. PGCE, DET**) or willingness and ability to obtain a Level 5 teaching qualification, supported by the College

Knowledge and Experience
•    Knowledge and experience of at least two of the following areas:
•    Computer Games Development
•    Power BI 
•    Cloud Storage and Tools
•    Big Data and Business Analytics
•    Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
•    Networking and Cyber Security
•    Programming (C++, Java, Python)
•    Teaching experience in the relevant subject area
•    Teaching experience in delivering or exposure to T-Levels in Digital Business Services, or a willingness to participate in continued professional development to upskill in order to be able to teach T Levels
•    Up to date knowledge of recent initiatives/developments in Computing and IT
•    Experience of working in the IT/Computing industry
•    Teaching experience in delivery on BTEC Programmes under the RQF framework in relevant subject areas
