Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths or Science Graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant in one of our vibrant secondary schools in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely with the SEN department to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Resource Management: Help to organise resources, ensuring that all are prepared and available for lessons.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments.
  • Enrichment Activities: Support the development and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as clubs, workshops, and field trips.

About You:

  • Graduate: A degree in relation to Maths or Science.
  • Experience with Children: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach, Youth Worker or Support Worker preferred.
  • Passionate: A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire young people.
  • Organised: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Communicative: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
