We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager for a newly created role at our client offices in Harrow on the Hill. In this pivotal position, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our finance operations, driving strategic insights, and leading a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop 1-2 management accountants, fostering a collaborative work environment. Oversee performance evaluations and assist in recruitment efforts.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring your team operates efficiently while delivering accurate and timely financial information.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, providing monthly analyses of results versus budgets and participating in commercial meetings
  • Assist the Managing Director in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing insights into performance and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Deliver monthly insights and analysis on the P&L, including detailed margin and payroll analysis, and communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Oversee month-end reporting processes, ensuring robust financial information and best practice accounting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance finance operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounts through preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Take full ownership of ledgers
  • Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller on audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns, and support various Treasury projects related to liquidity and foreign exchange strategy.

Your Profile:

  • Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with strong financial operations management
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a creative, self-motivated approach to thrive in a dynamic environment.
