The business consult, advise and deliver projects and have a reputation in the market for success and subsequently have won a number of awards.
Description
The Head of Finance will be a key member of the management team and be responsible for:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of 3 direct reports
- Management of all day to day financial controls, reconciliations, inputs and payments.
- Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts and month end reporting.
- Preparation and ownership of annual statutory accounts working with external accountants
- Identifying those KPI's for the business that make the difference and producing regular reports the Board
- Ensure that all variances are understood and deliver insightful commentary that helps to influence the company direction and strategy.
- Reporting and monitoring actual department timesheets, income and costs against budget and identifying efficiencies
- Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are reviewed to agreed deadlines
- Management and ownership of monthly payroll process (delivered via an external service)
- Management of internal Tax processes
- Develop and own the planning, budgeting, cash flow and financial modelling processes for the company.
- Oversight of Debtors and Credits and supplier payment runs
- Reporting revenue by service type and client and provide insights to drive commercial decisions
- Improve understanding of how to measure job profitability in near real time
- Ensure robust internal control systems operate across the company
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from senior colleagues and team members.
Profile
The successful Head of Finance will be;
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Prior marketing company experience
- Able to build relationships at all levels and influence
- Strong Systems skills
Job Offer
The Head of Finance role comes with a competitive base salary of £90,000-£100,000 plus bonus and package.
