1. EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 
Essential: 
•    A recognised teaching qualification 
2. EXPERIENCE 
Essential: 
•    Experience of working as part of a team 
Desirable: 
•    Experience of teaching with successful outcomes which has have a positive impact and relevance. 
•    Successful experience of working in partnership with children and families with diverse needs 
•    Successful experience of working collaboratively with a range of professionals 
3. JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, APTITUDES AND SKILLS 
Essential: 
•    Knowledge of the primary curriculum which has been effectively applied with successful outcomes. 
•    Proven ability to employ a range of teaching strategies appropriate to differing abilities and needs 
•    Successfully able to implement a variety of methods of classroom organisation in relation to behaviour management. 
•    An ability to successfully evaluate and record pupil performance with reference to the requirements of the National Curriculum with regard to assessment in the appropriate Key Stages 
•    An ability to demonstrate cross-curricular skills, themes and dimensions in teaching 
•    An ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences 
•    Proven ability to employ a range of classroom management skills 
•    An ability to plan and evaluate effectively 
Desirable: 
•    Knowledge of relevant community languages – Arabic, Somali, Urdu, Gujarati, Romanian 
5. PERSONAL QUALITIES 
Essential: 
•    Confidence, warmth, sensitivity, reliability, maturity, and enthusiasm 
•    Good interpersonal skills 
•    Capacity to manage own workload 
•    A commitment to parental, community and governing body partnership
