1:1 Teaching Assistant | KS3 & KS4 | £95-£120 | Long-Term to Permanent | Immediate Start

LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with Key Stage 3 and 4 students with ASD and behavioural needs in a supportive secondary school. This role is an opportunity to support students' educational and social development through personalised support and positive behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to KS3 and KS4 students with ASD, focusing on behaviour management and assisting with academic progress.
  • Implement and adapt strategies outlined in Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to meet individual needs.
  • Support students in managing challenging behaviours and encourage their engagement in learning activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to monitor student progress and update support strategies as necessary.
  • Apply Manual Handling or Team Teach training to ensure safe and effective management of challenging behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with secondary-age students with ASD and behavioural difficulties is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications and current Manual Handling or Team Teach training are required.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and work closely with the school team to create a safe and supportive environment.
