Sonic Summary

My client is seeking to hire a CAD draughtsman/technician with expertise in AutoCAD specifically within the joinery and shopfitting industry.
The ideal candidate should possess prior experience as a CAD technician in a joinery environment.
Applicants must be capable of producing detailed joinery drawings from initial client briefs and site surveys to manufacturing and assembly.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, along with the ability to create precise workshop drawings and accurate cutting lists.
The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should have relevant experience in the field.

Working within a small team of both internal and external Draughtspersons/ Setter Outs, the appropriate candidate will be working closely with the Assistant Works Manager for interpreting technical drawings / 3D visuals from Architects, and then producing technical 2D/3D drawings through AutoCAD/Inventor, for customer approval. Once approved, all information is to then be booked out onto the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in designing to manufacture
Experience with joinery and or metalwork
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Ability to read architectural drawings and convert to a working document

Proficient in AutoCAD/Inventor
