Greater LondonSalary – £70,000 - £80,000 Our client, one of UKs leading providers of Specialist Lending is looking for an experienced Buy to Let Underwriting Manager to join their Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team of underwriters. Key Responsibilities:
  • Full responsibility for designing, managing, embedding and delivering the credit risk management framework and procedures ensuring best practise installed within the underwriting procedures.
  • Deputise for Lending Operations Director as and when required
  • Management and development of underwriting team to case manage loans from inception to completion.
  • Ensure SLA’s are maintained and exceeded
  • Develop and promote clear standards of performance within underwriting which support the Company Training and Competency Policy
  • Implement required training and ensure adequate records of staff training and competence are maintained
  • System owner of BTL origination platform which will include helping develop effective systems and processes, providing specifications and UAT
  • Mandated to approve high-value loans
Key Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of FCA regulation
  • Held a mandate of at least £350,000
  • Experience managing a team
  • Extensive experience of underwriting
  • CeMap qualified would be advantageous but is not essential
