What Does the Role Entail?You will be responsible for developing fire and emergency plans, investigating incidents, and ensuring the Bank remains compliant with all statutory health and safety requirements. This role involves conducting risk assessments, coordinating with external agencies, maintaining records, and ensuring health and safety information is displayed across all offices. You will also chair consultation meetings with employees, manage high-risk activities, and oversee protective measures for expectant mothers. Regular branch visits will be part of your remit to ensure all locations uphold the highest safety standards.
What Skills Will You Have?You must be approachable, knowledgeable, and highly detail-oriented to succeed in this role. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with staff at all levels and external bodies such as HSE, RPS, and health & safety consultants. A minimum qualification of IOSH and NEBOSH is required to ensure you have the expertise to manage workplace safety effectively.
