Responsibilities :
In this full-time (37.5 hours per week) position, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients undergoing pre-operative assessments. Working within a friendly and supportive team, you'll utilize your expertise to:
- Maintain high standards of patient care: Deliver exceptional pre-operative assessments, adhering to agreed operational policies and procedures.
- Champion patient well-being: Promote and safeguard the interests of patients, employees, and consultants.
- Lead by example: Act as a mentor and advocate for junior team members.
- Step up when needed: Deputise for the Sister/Charge Nurse and lead on clinical shifts.
- Deliver individualized care: Provide personalized, high-quality care to every patient.
- Safeguard patient safety: Demonstrate the courage to speak up when there are concerns about patient care.
- Maintain professional conduct: Adhere to the NMC and HCPC codes of professional conduct.
Requirements:
- A registered general nurse (Level 1/Diploma/BSc) with a valid NMC registration.
- An established track record of clinical practice, with at least 18 months of post-registration experience.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
- Proven mentorship skills (ENB 998 or equivalent qualification preferred).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong clinical knowledge base, aligned with national best practices.
- Proficiency in PC use and electronic healthcare record systems.
- A passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to teamwork.
