We are seeking an English Lecturer to join our client's educational team, delivering high-quality teaching in Functional Skills (FS) English Levels 1 and 2, and/or GCSE English. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education and a proven track record of teaching large groups, particularly in preparation for national exams.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students aged 16-18.
- Prepare students for FS English L1 and L2 and/or GCSE English exams.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure all students are actively engaged.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and assessments.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons effectively.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Proven experience teaching FS English L1 and L2 and/or GCSE English.
- Experience teaching in Further Education (FE) or secondary schools.
- Ability to manage large groups of students and prepare them for national exams.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A teaching qualification relevant to the subject and level.
