We are seeking an English Lecturer to join our client's Further Education college in North West London. This role involves teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English, and is ideal for someone passionate about education and looking to make a significant impact on our students’ academic success.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students at GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to different learning abilities and styles.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessments, and progress.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure the content is up-to-date and relevant.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to share best practices and resources.
- Offer guidance and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- A degree in English or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching English at GCSE and/or Functional Skills levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
