Our partner school in Harrow seeks enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants to support children during their crucial developmental years within a mainstream primary school setting. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Nursery Practitioners, Teaching Assistants, and Psychology Graduates eager to gain valuable experience supporting children with SEN.

Role Overview:

As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to children with special educational needs in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will implement individualised learning plans, foster a nurturing learning environment, and ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in planning and delivering activities that promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, ideally within a nursery or primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and strategies for supporting children with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Psychology graduates or experienced nursery practitioners are encouraged to apply.
