At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a FE Physics Lecturer based in Harrow-on-the-Hill.  

The Sixth Form is responsible primarily for the delivery of A Level, AS, GCSE and BTEC Science courses.  We have a track record of achieving strong results which places the Sixth Form in the top 10% of colleges nationally for A level progress.   

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated lecturer of Physics to teach A level, BTEC and GCSE Physics.

You will possess a degree in Science and have teaching experience in the subject area up to Level 3, including A Level, T Levels and/or BTEC, specialising in Physics.

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage learners, with a particular focus on effective strategies to teach 16–18-year-old students. You will either possess or be willing to achieve a Level 5 teaching qualification, which will be supported financially in full by the College.

Person Specification:
* A degree in Physics or closely related subject (e.g. Engineering)
* An advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET, PGCE) ** or willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification, supported by the College
* Experience of teaching Physics up to Level 3 including delivery of A-Level
* Ability to teach a second subject up to GCSE (preferably maths)
* Ability to demonstrate excellent teaching and learning which evidences the raising and/or maintaining of student achievement and progress.
* Evidence of delivering high rates of student attendance, retention and achievement, including details of the methods you have used to achieve this
* The ability to take on course leadership responsibility
* The ability to engage and inspire vocational  learners aged 16-18
