We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Business with experience in delivering and assessing the Access to Business course.

 Responsibilities 
•    Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons: Teach students at various levels, including Entry 3, NCFE, BTEC L1, Level 2, and Higher Education in Business Level 3. This includes delivering projects and teaching essential skills and GCSE content to ensure all students feel included and motivated. 
•    Support and assess students: Help students with their assignments and exam preparation. Provide guidance and encouragement to ensure they understand the material and reach their full potential. 
•    Create and adjust lesson plans: Design lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Be flexible and willing to make changes based on students’ needs and feedback. 
•    Work with colleagues: Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the learning experience for all students. Share ideas and resources to create a supportive teaching environment. 
•    Teach scheduled classes: Deliver lessons as per the timetable, which may include evening or weekend classes, depending on student needs and course requirements. 
•    Prepare schemes of work: Develop clear plans for what will be taught in each lesson and keep accurate records of lessons delivered and materials used. 
•    Contribute learning materials: Share your teaching resources and assignments with the college’s shared learning platform, so all staff can access and use them to improve the learning experience. 
•    Carry out assessments: Assess students’ progress and keep detailed records using Mark book/Promonitor, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date. 
•    Take attendance and manage absenteeism: Mark student attendance accurately and notify absent students through the college app or MS Teams. Update their profiles to reflect their attendance record and any necessary follow-up. 
•    Take part in quality assurance: Participate in the college’s processes for ensuring quality teaching and learning, following guidelines set by management to improve educational standards. 
•    Help with action plans: Assist in creating and updating students’ action plans, providing progress reports at the end of the academic year or whenever requested. 
•    Participate in curriculum development: Take part in discussions about improving and developing courses and curriculum content to enhance student learning.
