Long Term Futures is thrilled to partner with a three-form entry primary school in Harrow, HA3, seeking a talented Interventions Teaching Assistant to join their team in January. This role is focused on delivering targeted interventions in Phonics and Reading, as well as SEND support, including Speech and Language therapy for pupils in Year 1 and Year 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions in Phonics and Reading for Year 1 and 2 pupils.
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with Speech and Language needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised strategies.
  • Use creative and engaging methods to boost pupil confidence and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, ensuring their development is tracked effectively.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment to help pupils thrive academically and emotionally.

About You:

  • Experience working with children in KS1, particularly in delivering interventions.
  • Knowledge of Phonics strategies and Speech & Language support
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or speech therapy are advantageous but not essential.
