Our client, one of UKs leading providers of Specialist Lending is looking for an experienced Buy to Let Senior Underwriter  to join their Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to underwrite, maintain and manage a pipeline of complex and high value cases, Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess referred applications and document rationale for approval or rejection.
  • Provide feedback to Underwriting Case Managers and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Underwrite and assess loan documentation, including valuations, and request additional information for complex cases.
  • Conduct checks on applicants and properties to assess loan suitability.
  • Proactively chase outstanding information and update introducers for service excellence.
  • Recommend and refer cases to mandate holders for approval.
  • Liaise with introducers, valuers, and solicitors.
  • Oversee cases from inception to offer.
  • Update systems to maintain accurate management information.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in the secured lending sector and underwriting processes.
  • Proven ability to manage caseloads and assess cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Underwriting experience, particularly in the BTL mortgage market.
  • Industry qualifications (e.g., CeMAP) are beneficial but not essential.
