Butler Rose is delighted to be working alongside our public sector client based in Harrow. We are seeking a Pensions Supervisor to join Finance and Assurance team. This is a contract role, with hybrid working and will pay up to £21.89 per hour PAYE.This role will support the Pension Team Leader in ensuring the effective delivery of pension services for members of the LGPS, TPS, and NHS pension schemes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of six Pension Officers, ensuring the timely and accurate administration of pension schemes.
  • Ensure the monthly pension payroll is processed correctly and on time.
  • Contribute to managing a £25m pensioners' payroll and a £50m Pension Fund income and expenditure budget.
  • Provide high-quality, customer-focused pension advice while ensuring service standards and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Lead on complex pension enquiries, ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

About You:

  • Strong understanding of pension legislation, including LGPS and Teachers' Pensions.
  • Experience in supervising teams, managing workloads, and delivering against performance targets.
  • Excellent numeracy skills, with experience handling financial reconciliations.
  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive pension enquiries professionally.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to service excellence.
  • A qualification in Payroll and Pension Management (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
