Butler Rose is delighted to be working alongside our public sector client based in Harrow. We are seeking a Pensions Supervisor to join Finance and Assurance team. This is a contract role, with hybrid working and will pay up to £21.89 per hour PAYE.This role will support the Pension Team Leader in ensuring the effective delivery of pension services for members of the LGPS, TPS, and NHS pension schemes. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of six Pension Officers, ensuring the timely and accurate administration of pension schemes.
- Ensure the monthly pension payroll is processed correctly and on time.
- Contribute to managing a £25m pensioners' payroll and a £50m Pension Fund income and expenditure budget.
- Provide high-quality, customer-focused pension advice while ensuring service standards and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Lead on complex pension enquiries, ensuring efficient resolution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
About You:
- Strong understanding of pension legislation, including LGPS and Teachers' Pensions.
- Experience in supervising teams, managing workloads, and delivering against performance targets.
- Excellent numeracy skills, with experience handling financial reconciliations.
- Ability to handle complex and sensitive pension enquiries professionally.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to service excellence.
- A qualification in Payroll and Pension Management (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
