Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for a Principal Litigation Lawyer to join the legal department of a highly reputable London Borough Council. Please find below further details with regards to this role.

ROLE: Principal Criminal Litigation & Regulatory Lawyer
LOCATION: North West London
RATE: 50-60ph LTD (DOE, PQE & interview performance)
CONTRACT: 3 months with scope for extension

Please note that this position would require office attendance a minimum of 2 days per week.

The Role

  • To manage and oversee a team of Lawyers and Legal Assistant in relation to criminal litigation and regulatory law
  • The criminal litigation matters will include social housing fraud and regulatory prosecutions
  • To assist with any other litigation matters and attend court when required to do so

The Person

  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' PQE
  • Previous management experience within a legal services department within the public sector would be essential
  • A proven track-record of leading a team would also be required
