Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained on all customer products produced on the production line.
  • Day to day maintenance of production equipment.
  • Ensuring all procedures/instructions etc. are adhered to, including the completion of all required documentation.
  • Working on production lines as the need is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Level of Authority:

In general, staff are given authority to fulfil their tasks and responsibilities. However, where appropriate, specific authorities are detailed below.

  • Authority to stop production if there is any indication of non-conforming product.

Skill Set Required:

  • Knowledge of all relevant company processes.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of electrical installation to a basic level.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems to a basic level.
  • Ability to work with other staff as part of a team.
  • Ability to use specialised machinery.
  • Knowledge of company objectives for the area.
  • An understanding of the importance and relevance of the role and how non-conformances will affect customers.
  • A practical knowledge of Health and Safety in and around the working environs.
  • A knowledge of 5S practice and Lean manufacturing.
