  • Promote London Borough of Harrow work and maintain its reputation through digital, print, and media channels.
  • Develop and research campaign strategies, lead communication and behaviour change campaigns, and evaluate their success.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate communication and engagement campaigns to raise awareness, change perceptions, or influence behaviour.
  • Support various consultation and engagement activities to involve businesses, partners, residents, and stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Evaluate communication and engagement activities to understand their impact and outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders providing commissioned services and projects (design, research, engagement, etc.).
  • Create content for internal and external publications, case studies, speeches, and reports.
  • Manage the council's social media, develop engaging content, and respond to inquiries.
Experience and Skills:
  • Previous experience working in complex political environments, understanding public sector challenges.
  • Previous experience managing projects to meet quality, time, and cost goals.
  • Great communication and written skills
  • Previous experience engaging content for internal publications, press releases, media, and social media.
  • Previous experience managing social media channels.
The job involves:
  • Travel around the borough and between council offices
  • Participating in out-of-hours media duties, including weekend cover and Member level meetings
