Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained on all customer products produced on the production line.
- Day to day maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensuring all procedures/instructions etc. are adhered to, including the completion of all required documentation.
- Working on production lines as the need is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Level of Authority:
In general, staff are given authority to fulfil their tasks and responsibilities. However, where appropriate, specific authorities are detailed below.
- Authority to stop production if there is any indication of non-conforming product.
Skill Set Required:
- Knowledge of all relevant company processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of electrical installation to a basic level.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems to a basic level.
- Ability to work with other staff as part of a team.
- Ability to use specialised machinery.
- Knowledge of company objectives for the area.
- An understanding of the importance and relevance of the role and how non-conformances will affect customers.
- A practical knowledge of Health and Safety in and around the working environs.
- A knowledge of 5S practice and Lean manufacturing.
