Reed Further Education are a leading recruitment agency working with colleges, prisons, universities, and training providers across the UK. We are looking for an experienced MDT Assistant for one of London's leading further education colleges.

MDT Assistant

Harrow

£20+ per hour

Full time Monday - Friday

Job PurposeProviding high quality support to the multi-disciplinary team across the college inclusive learning and SEND provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admin Support: Providing administrative support to the MDT team and assisting with the running of MDT meetings
  • Student tracking: Tracking students to ensure their pathway through therapies is smooth and efficient
  • Liaising with other departments: Liaising with other departments to facilitate the timely booking of therapy and treatments
  • Recording outcomes: Recording outcomes and attendance at MDT meetings
  • Escalating issues: Escalating serious issues to the line manager
  • Obtaining clinical data: Liaising with other organizations and MDTs to obtain relevant clinical data on students
  • Providing cover: Providing cover for the MDT coordinator in sickness and absence
  • Handling telephone calls: Receiving telephone calls to the department and ensuring callers needs are clearly established

Requirements (Essential)

  • Educated to degree level, preferably within the relevant
  • Previous experience within healthcare or NHS occupational therapy teams
  • A good understanding of medical therapies and the terminology used within
  • Immediate, full-time availability
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
