Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Locum Podiatrist to join our team in Harrow on a full-time basis. This position is available for a minimum of three months, with an immediate start date. You will provide high-quality podiatric care to patients within the community, focusing on maintaining foot health and preventing complications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive podiatric assessments to diagnose and treat a range of foot and lower limb conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, including diabetic foot care, nail surgery, and wound management.
  • Provide advice on footwear and orthotic prescriptions to improve patient mobility and comfort.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on foot care practices and preventative measures to enhance overall foot health.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with NHS guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Podiatry (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration as a Podiatrist.
  • Proven experience in a clinical podiatry role, preferably within the NHS or community setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and managing foot and lower limb conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages.
