About us:

Harrow Community Transport (Harrow CT) provides minibus transportation services for charitable/ voluntary/ not for profit organisations, individuals, and statutory organisations including: pop-ins, lunch clubs, day trips, essential services and specialist transport services.

Responsibilities of Minibus Driver include:

  • Transport of patients to appointments.
  • Transport of students to School
  • Drive Harrow CT owned or operated vehicles with up to 16 passenger seats, providing safe, comfortable and efficient transportation.
  • Perform daily routine operational vehicle inspection and maintenance including: tyres (condition and pressures), oil, water, fuel, other fluids, brakes, lights, windscreen and wipers.
  • Perform simple routine maintenance and repairs, sweep and clean vehicle, keep vehicle interior neat and orderly.
  • Accurately complete driver trip sheet for each shift with information including odometer readings, number of passengers, vehicle registration, details of any faults/damage, etc.
  • Ensure the safe boarding and alighting of passengers, including wheelchair users by use of passenger lift or ramp, and other general assistance to passengers.
  • Treat all passengers courteously and with respect.
  • Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts (unless exempt) including those using wheelchairs. Where wheelchairs are being carried ensure that the correct equipment is fitted correctly.
  • Maintain records of work performed using time sheets supplied; make timely reports of accidents, incidents, and unusual occurrences.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure correct preparation of vehicle including; cleaning and removal of seats according to seating plan.
