Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Officer to support the Head of Civil Contingencies in implementing effective emergency planning and business continuity strategies. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the Resilience Standards for London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of emergency planning and business continuity functions to meet statutory obligations.
  • Act as the deputy for the Head of Civil Contingencies during their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
  • Lead and manage emergency planning and business continuity projects, ensuring preparedness for potential emergencies.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance resilience and response capabilities.
  • Conduct training and exercises to test and improve emergency plans and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency planning initiatives, making recommendations for improvements
