- Negotiate and procure quality accommodation in the private sector that meets the needs of homeless households.
- Build partnerships with emergency accommodation providers, securing rooms at the best prices while ensuring suitability and value for money.
- Arrange accommodation for other Council services supporting eligible groups, such as care leavers, households with no recourse to public funds, or those with mental health needs.
- Ensure all acquired properties meet property standards, legal requirements, and are cost-effective, aligning with Pan London Rates where applicable.
- Driving license and access to a car.
- Knowledge of the Housing Act and private rented housing laws.
- Experience working with private sector landlords or homelessness services.
- Ability to negotiate value-for-money deals.
- Understanding of welfare reforms, housing subsidies, and health and safety regulations.
