We are inviting applications for HR Associate for an International Global Bank based in Harrow. This position is to handle day to day HR activities and reporting to the Head of HR .
JOB ROLE
This is a generalist role with emphasis on the employee relations. The post holder would be responsible for taking ownership of and managing the end to end HR activities for State Bank of India, London Branch and State Bank of India UK Limited. He/she will be the 1st point of contact for simple ER related matters including employee grievances as well as providing guidance to line management on less complex people related issues including but not restricted to absence management, performance management, succession planning and training & development. The person will also act as an backup to the payroll resource and should have an understanding of payroll and finacle. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years' experience as a generalist within a professional services sector. The person will also be need to be experienced in the field o recruitment and take up the end to end responsibility in the employee recruitment cycle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Employee Relations:
* Provide advice and guidance to staff across all aspects of HR policy, practice and employment legislation as required and continuously be proactive in promoting an understanding of these throughout the organisation. This may, for example, include matters such as sickness, absences, maternity & paternity, performance management, contractual T&C's and staff well-being.
* Develop proposals and approval notes for any contractual changes e.g. change in working hours, flexible working, pay rises, promotions and so on.
* Advise managers and staff on changes to roles and job descriptions ensuring that the Bank adopts a consistent, fair and legally robust approach.
* Promotes effective relationships with the business to facilitate and drive good employee relations across the organization, coaching managers where applicable
* Conduct Exit Interviews and utilize feedback as a medium for identifying areas for improving employee relations and promoting employee engagement.
Recruitment:
* Handle the recruitment process for the Bank end to end.
Sickness & Absence:
To maintain and record all absence records.
* Address cases to the Line Manager and HR Manager where the employee hits the sickness trigger.
* Co-ordinating sickness meetings and arrange to send letters wherever applicable.
Payroll:
* Responsible for collating all payroll changes for assigned business clientele. Making sure all the payroll changes are filed correctly in e-payroll folder and payroll files.
* Occasional inputting new starters and leavers on ADP.
* Checking the payroll.
* MI Reporting.
Organise HR Events:
* To organise HR Events such as Annual Staff-Get together, Employee if the Month ceremonies or Christmas Parties, if required.
Policies and Procedures:
* Supports the Head HR with the implementation of HR strategy and transalting it in to policies and processes.
* Participates in the implementation of specific programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
* Actively monitor and review HR policies and processes suggesting changes to support continuous improvement and ensure the provision of a high level HR support service for all staff.
* Promotes an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality care, continuous improvement, and culture change in long-term care, customer service and high performance.
HRIS:
* Maintaining HR information system records and ensures data integrity. Responsible for preparing and collating reports as and when required.
* Maintains and ensures that organizational structures and other Human Capital data & documents are updated, current and maintained in a timely and efficient manner.
* MI Reporting.
Backup to payroll resource:
* Understand the payroll process and act as a checker to the payroll input file
* Gain basic understanding of ADP and finacle
Ad hoc Projects & Reporting:
* To provide general support to the HR department by undertaking any other duties delegated by the Head of HR.
* Some projects which may need help are such as Probation, Visa, Pension.
