Our school in Harrow is divided into two departments: ASD and PMLD. We are looking for a tenacious Qualified PE Teacher (QTS) who can inspire and lead pupils in both departments, delivering tailored physical education sessions. You will play a key role in supporting the physical development and well-being of pupils with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated PE lessons suited to the needs of ASD and PMLD pupils, ensuring activities are engaging and inclusive.
- Adapt physical activities to meet the diverse physical and cognitive abilities of the pupils.
- Work closely with support staff to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Lead the physical and motor development of students, promoting health, well-being, and self-confidence.
- Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to pupils with ASD and PMLD, fostering positive engagement.
- Track and assess student progress, adapting lessons and approaches based on individual needs.
