Unqualified Academic Mentor - Secondary

A fantastic Secondary School in the Borough of Harrow is seeking a committed and driven individual to join their exceptional support team as an Unqualified Academic Mentor - Secondary.

The school hold their core values of community, support and exceptional education close to their hearts and would like to hire an individual that embodies these values.

You will be responsible for working with children with SEND/SEMH 1:1 and in small groups, as well as supporting class teachers with general classroom duties. The ideal candidate with have a good understanding of Secondary School curriculum and SEN.

Unqualified Academic Mentor - Secondary Job Description

  • Working a highly regarded secondary school
  • Based in Harrow
  • September 2024 start
  • Monday - Friday
  • 30am - 4pm
  • No weekends, Term-Time only
  • £105 - £110 per day
  • Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom (KS3, KS4, KS5)
  • Providing 1:1 support to children with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Monitoring and recording interventions
  • Setting targets for individuals and small groups of young people

The Ideal Unqualified Academic Mentor - Secondary

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children including those with SEND/SEMH needs
  • A graduate with strong academics, i.e. 2:1 or 1st Class degree
  • A passion for education
