About the Role:

Timeplan Education is looking for a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students. In this role, you'll become a valued part of the teaching team, from leading small group sessions to covering whole classes in the teacher's absence. This role is ideal for an HLTA with a passion for primary education and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Teaching and Learning: Lead small group activities and provide focused support to individual students, fostering both academic and social growth.
  • Classroom Cover: Confidently lead classes in the teacher's absence, ensuring a positive, structured learning environment.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons that support the school's dynamic curriculum.
  • Assist with Assessment: Observe, assess, and report on student progress, contributing to personalized learning plans.
  • Promote Well-being: Support children's emotional and social development, ensuring an inclusive and safe classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualifications: HLTA qualification or a recognized teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years working as an HLTA or teacher, including experience in whole-class teaching.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Adaptability: A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to various classroom situations.
  • DBS: A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
