- Monitor and address community safety concerns, ensuring adherence to ASB legislation.
- Conduct visits, inspections, and assessments to determine necessary enforcement actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including residents, local businesses, police, and council members, to develop community safety strategies.
- Investigate reports of anti-social behavior, identify solutions, and take appropriate enforcement action when required.
- Prepare reports, statements of evidence, and legal documents for cases involving breaches of community safety laws.
- Represent the organization in court, at public meetings, and with external agencies, providing expert technical and legal advice.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community groups and agencies to foster collaboration and safety initiatives.
- Provide up-to-date technical guidance and legislative advice to stakeholders, including residents and council members.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Knowledge of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and related legislation.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in partnership working and community engagement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Proven ability to write clear and concise technical reports and legal statements.
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
- Previous experience in a similar role within a local authority or council setting.
- Knowledge of public safety policies and frameworks.
