Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with communication difficulties?
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Childrens Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with a range of needs and will be proficient in Makaton to aid communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, person-centered care to children with varying needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional development.
Use Makaton to support childrens communication, helping them express their needs, wants, and feelings.
Develop positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and carers.
Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote social and emotional wellbeing
Work closely with other professionals (such as speech and language therapists) to support the child's learning and development goals.
Maintain accurate records and reports in line with organizational policies.

Essential Requirements:
Experience with Makaton and a strong ability to use it in day-to-day communication.
A Minimum of 1 years UK experience working with children and young people within a residential or school setting
Must have an enhanced adult and child DBS that is registered on the update service or will be willing to process a new one with Prospero
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently.
Must be able to provide 3 years professional references
