Job Title: Homeless Prevention Solutions OfficerLocation: London Borough of Harrow, Forward Drive, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NTSalary: £16.19 PAYE per hour Overview: The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an experienced Homeless Prevention Solutions Officer to join their dynamic team.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct homelessness needs assessments and develop personalized housing plans
Provide proactive housing advice and explore prevention solutions for those at risk
Work collaboratively with local authorities, landlords, and support agencies
Assist individuals in securing sustainable accommodation and preventing eviction
Issue statutory homelessness decision letters in line with legal requirements
Manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate records using IT systems
Offer holistic support, including referrals for individuals with complex needs
Participate in duty rotas and respond to urgent housing-related inquiries

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing policies
Ability to interpret and explain complex legal guidance
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience in case management and working with vulnerable individuals
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting
