- Represent Harrow Council as a duly authorized Officer, educating and partnering with internal and external organizations to enhance public safety and wellbeing.
- Carry out enforcement functions, including inspection, enforcement, education, and advice, to enable the Council to meet its statutory obligations of environmental protection.
- Enjoy a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with 25-40% of your time spent in the office and 60-75% on site-based visits to premises within Harrow Council.
- Carry out enforcement functions in a customer-facing, front-line environment, representing Harrow Council in often challenging circumstances.
- Work as part of an Enforcement team in accordance with statutory requirements and in compliance with relevant Council policies and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate equipment during site-based visits to premises within Harrow Council.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate and work in partnership with relevant internal and external organizations.
- Possess a strong understanding of environmental protection and the ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations.
- Relevant experience in a similar enforcement or regulatory role, preferably within a local government or public sector environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations effectively.
