This critical role focuses on assisting the Council in fulfilling its statutory duties related to environmental protection and public safety. The position offers an attractive hourly rate of £24.03 (PAYE), negotiable.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform enforcement duties to help the Council meet statutory obligations for environmental protection, including inspections, enforcement actions, education, and advice.
  • Act as a frontline representative of Harrow Council in a customer-facing enforcement role, often managing challenging situations.
  • Split work activities between 25%-40% office-based tasks and 60%-75% site visits within Harrow, utilizing appropriate equipment.
  • Collaborate within the Enforcement team to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and Council policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Council as an authorised Officer, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to promote public safety and well-being through education and partnership.
