The role of the Scheme Coordinator has a competitive pay rate of £17.66 per hour. Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).Main Purpose of the Scheme Coordinator:
  • Provide an enhanced Housing Management service to Sheltered Housing Tenants.
  • Ensure the highest standard of service in line with regulatory and contractual requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Work flexibly to meet individual and communal needs, while maximizing independence and choice, and respecting privacy and dignity.
  • Deliver a comprehensive Enhanced Housing Management service to help Tenants maintain their Tenancy, access housing services, use technology appropriately, and ensure effective signposting to other services.
  • Conduct systematic monitoring and inspection of Sheltered Housing schemes to ensure secure, clean, and well-maintained communal areas and services, considering Tenant needs for planned maintenance.
  • Address a range of complex issues that may significantly impact Tenants.
  • Handle cash received from Tenants for Guest Room and TV licenses.
  • Report and monitor the completion of household repairs for Tenants who are less able to do so, and coordinate/deploy a handy person to provide a more accessible and tailored service.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements for Sheltered Housing schemes.
  • Working knowledge of risk assessments and risk management.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and act promptly in urgent situations.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in developing risk assessments.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, particularly working with older people.
