Senior Housing Benefit Officer needed in North London Paying £18.21 per hr Ref 012812

Full time hrs on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team responsible for delivering financial assistance towards rent, council tax, and social care costs for approximately 21,000 households (1 in 5) who are the most vulnerable residents in the Borough.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective administration of housing benefits, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Oversee the submission and presentation of housing benefit appeals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the housing benefit service, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Engage with residents and stakeholders to address concerns and provide information about housing benefits and related services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on housing benefit activities and outcomes.
