Job Description: We are seeking multiple talented and enthusiastic Healthcare assistants to join our team to become a SEN Teaching assistant. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the classroom and providing personal care to students.

We are recruiting fora dedicated special college providing exceptional education and care to pupils with profound learning difficulties. The college require someone with transferable skills from a healthcare assistant background as their students generally require care and support similar to a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care for students
  • Work under the class teacher to provide support for pupils in the classroom.
  • Work closely with children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or challenging behaviours
  • Liaise with an experienced team, who will support you within the college

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience as a Healthcare assistant
  • Experience in personal care.
  • Experience in working with challenging behaviour
  • Epilepsy training
  • Preferably PEG feeding trained (not required)
