SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on a behalf an Ofsted rated?Outstanding, secondary special needs school?in the London Borough of Harrow. They are looking for a learning support assistant to support a girl in year 10 with special needs on a 1:1 basis.

The school is well connected to the overground and is easily accessible from central London.

The role is to start after October half-term (4th November).

ABOUT THE ROLE

A learning support assistant is required to work with a girl in year 10 on 1:1 basis. There will be a small amount of personal care (but no lifting and handling), therefore, only female applications can be considered for this position.

The student has cerebral palsy so experiences delayed fine and gross motor skills as well as expressive and receptive language difficulties.

ABOUT YOU

  • Ideally first aid trained as the student has epilepsy and experiences regular seizures
  • Have previous experience as a learning support assistant in a special needs setting
  • Experienced with supporting challenging behaviours
  • Have a firm but calm approach
  • Safeguarding trained
  • Kind, compassionate natured with a genuine desire to support vulnerable youth!
