Level 4 Teaching Assistant

As a higher-level teaching assistant, you will work predominantly as expert support whilst also providing a range of cover and teaching across the schools services. You will need to have a strong understanding of SEN, child development and behaviour management.
Job Description:
- Planned coverage of a class in place of their usual teacher or group coordinator
- Planned coverage of support or provide additional Support to help regulate pupils who require one-to-one support
- Lead 1:1 and group sessions for specific needs
The ideal applicant will be:
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs
- Ability to work in a child focused way
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to recognise and understand young people’s needs
- Good organisational skills, ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload.
- Ability to develop constructive and appropriate relationships with pupils
- Confident in covering classes in the absence of the teacher
