We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 1 with autism at an inclusive and nurturing primary school in Harrow. The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and other professionals to follow and adapt the child's individual learning plan.
  • Use your initiative to address the child's unique needs, helping to create a positive, consistent, and structured environment.
  • Build a trusting relationship with the child, fostering their self-confidence and independence.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a similar role, particularly supporting children with autism, is a strong advantage.
  • An understanding of autism and strategies to support children with social and communication difficulties.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with young children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
