We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team across two locations: Harrow and Kingston Upon Thames. This role is crucial in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will have prior SEN experience and will be committed to helping students achieve their educational goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist in the classroom, adapting materials and activities to meet students’ needs.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
  • Facilitate social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different settings and adapt to varying educational needs.
