Primary Cover Supervisor

Harrow

As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will work predominantly as expert support whilst also providing a range of cover and teaching across the schools services. You will need to have a strong understanding of SEN, child development and behaviour management.

Job Description:

  • Planned coverage of a class in place of their usual teacher or group coordinator
  • Planned coverage of support or provide additional Support to help regulate pupils who require one-to-one support
  • Lead 1:1 and group sessions for specific needs

The ideal applicant will be:

  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to work in a child focused way
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to recognise and understand young people’s needs
  • Good organisational skills, ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to develop constructive and appropriate relationships with pupils
  • Confident in covering classes in the absence of the teacher
