The Job You’ll Do;

  • Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately.
  • Analyse symptoms reported by operators and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs at customer sites on various models to uphold operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify and replace faulty parts and components, ensuring compatibility and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
  • Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Liaising with Service Controller’s and Product Support Managers throughout the day to provide updates on repair progress and equipment status.
  • Engage with customers to understand their maintenance requirements, concerns, and priorities.
  • Keep customers informed about the status of maintenance activities and any unexpected delays or issues.
  • Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety on-site work areas
  • Maintaining safety, cleanliness and general housekeeping of company vehicle.
  • The Company is committed to achieving a high standard of Health and Safety in all its activities and the postholder will be expected to contribute to maintaining standards to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation.
  • Take responsibility for managing own performance and to participate in any identified training or development opportunities.

About You;

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experienced, time served Mobile Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical).
  • Excellent diagnostic and reporting skills and show good attention to detail.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and engines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.
  • Excellent IT skills required with a good ability to analyse fault code data.
  • IPAF card holder (desirable)
