We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Lecturer to join our client's team and deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English across our College. This role primarily involves working with vocational learners aged 16-18, helping them develop their skills and progress to higher education or the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English.
- Support vocational learners in their academic and personal development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our English curriculum.
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area, or a Level 3 qualification with at least 2 years of successful teaching experience in English/Literacy/ESOL/EFL.
- Proven experience in teaching/tutoring GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, EFL, or literacy.
- Ability to engage and motivate 16 to 18-year-olds from various vocational disciplines.
- Possession of a Level 5 teaching qualification recognized by the FE sector, or a willingness to undertake teacher training supported by the College.
- Availability to teach one evening per week (Thursdays) until 9.00pm.
