Multi Skills Lecturer (Construction) - Harrow - Full time - Permanent

Salary: £31,357 to £43,729 per annum including London Weighting

At Clarus Education, we are working with a FE College who are currently seeking a full time Multi Skills Lecturer to join their team, to teach on a range of programmes.
The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and supportive team, who are committed to the success of learners. The team will support you to develop your career in teaching, including fully funding a Level 5 teacher training qualification, which is undertaken at the College.
You will need to
- Be qualified to Level 3 in a relevant subject area
- Have working knowledge and experience across a range of construction craft trades
- Have teaching/training experience including the ability to teach up to Level 2 Construction/Multi Skills programmes
- Have good communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students aged 16-19
Qualifications
• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant subject area
• Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g DET, PGCE or equivalent)**, or willingness and ability to work towards the Level 5 Teacher Training qualification, supported by the College
• Assessor qualification (A1 or equivalent) or willing to obtain
Knowledge and Experience
• Working knowledge and experience across a range of construction craft trades
• Teaching/training experience
• Knowledge of the requirements of the Level 1 and Level 2 Construction/Multi Skills programmes
Other Skills
• Ability to enthuse and engage vocational learners aged 16-19
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Commitment to Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding in education
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good classroom practice
• Ability to use IT within the curriculum
• Good administration/organisational skills
• Tutoring experience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
