Salary: £40,000-£45,000pa (OTE £50,000+)

The Package:

  • Overtime available and paid at 1.5x (£28.84-£32.45 per hour), breakdown below:
  • 5 hours of overtime per week: Additional £7,498-£8,437pa dependent on base rate
  • 10 hours of overtime per week: Additional £14,996-£16,874pa dependent on base rate
  • On Call 1 week in 4 / Paid at £15 per day for 7 days (£105 per week) – Additional £1,365 per annum
  • Overtime rates apply when called out (paid at 1.5x)

The Role:

  • Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
  • Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
  • Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
  • Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
  • Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk
  • Assessments and company policies and procedures.

The Requirements:

  • In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
  • Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
  • Electrical bias – Advantageous
  • Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years – Essential
