Multi Skilled Shift Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing maintenance activities in accordance with company policy and procedures. You will be required to work in accordance with safe systems of work and quality assurance standards.
The job role will involve responding to breakdowns, performing planned preventative maintenance and the installation of machinery and equipment. You will be a team member working to the disciplines of engineering best practice.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Maintenance team, supporting production operations, to ensure production machines and plant equipment are effectively maintained.
- Responding to breakdowns, performing planned preventative maintenance and carrying out the installation of machinery and equipment when required.
- To work in accordance with generic job profile (Maintenance Technician) and departmental organisational chart.
- Understanding and awareness of permit to work systems.
- To complete a 2-minute risk assessment.
- To work in accordance with all company procedures, company policy and site rules
- Ensure adherence to ‘safe systems of work’ and ‘permits to work’ requirements
- To comply with all health and safety statutory requirements and regulations
- Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained in all work areas
- Awareness of, PLC’s, Invertor drives, electrical schematics, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Essential
- Experienced time-served Electrical maintenance technician.
- Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ previous experience working in heavy industrial environment.
- PLC fault finding experience (preferably Siemens)
- Clean driving license
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with adaptable and flexible attitude.
Desirable
- C&G 2382/ IET 18th Edition
- Capable of performing basic Mechanical engineering work / Multi-skilled.
- Experience working in Hazardous Environment / CompEx certification.
Annual Salary and Benefits
- £40 000 - £45 000

Initially working
- 07:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday
- 07:00 – 11:00 Friday
- Overtime available as and when workload dictates
